During deepest autumn 2011 the cumbersome-named Dukla Prague Away Kit music website, named after a song by Half Man Half Biscuit, came into being. The site’s office is a very small room in Belfast that just about hosts a computer, a desk, and a record player (and your editor).
The blog likes to find some under-the-radar free download gems from all over the globe. Genres featured include electronica, indie, garage-rock, dubstep and more. Also expect interviews, weekly single release choices, album reviews, tracks of the month, and some other things. There is also a Tumblr page here.
We are especially interested in highlighting the smaller acts, those just starting out and looking for publicity and help (provided we hear something that we like), but the site will also feature more established individuals too, only maybe just not that established.
